Shree Vishwakarma Udyog

Our workshop, Shree Vishwakarma Udyog, is tucked away on Road No-14 in the VKI Area. If you know the Badharna area, you’ll find us at G 1/92 without much trouble. The industrial area is always full of big trucks and the sound of machines, and we fit right in. We’ve been working out of this unit for a few years now. It’s a bit hot in the summers, especially with the metalwork we do, but we keep the big fans going to stay cool. The floor is usually covered in metal scrap and tools, but we know exactly where everything is kept. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit or a tie. We wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty every single day. Most of our neighbors are doing similar work, so we often borrow tools or help each other out when a machine breaks down. It's a tight community in this part of the VKI. We don't spend any money on advertising or anything like that. People just hear about us from others and show up at the gate. We keep a handwritten ledger for all the jobs, and sometimes the writing is a bit hard to read, but we make it work. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten together on a wooden bench. It’s simple, honest work. We don't have a receptionist; if the bell rings, whoever is closest goes to see who it is.
