We operate Shree Shyam Pulses Pvt Ltd from our office at Sahkar Marg A-301. It’s right on Road No 15. The pulse business is a lot about timing and knowing the crops coming in from the farms. We handle different kinds of dal and grains every day. My desk is usually covered in samples and paperwork. It’s not a quiet office because the phones are always ringing with people asking about prices or shipping times. We’ve been in this spot for a good while. Sahkar Marg is a central place to be for us. Sometimes the warehouse gets crowded and we have to move stuff around to make space for new shipments. It’s honest work. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or big signs. People know us through word of mouth mostly. If the quality of the dal is good, people come back. That’s how we’ve always done it. My morning usually starts with checking the arrivals and making sure everything is moving on schedule. The traffic on Road No 15 can be a real headache during the rush hour. We just deal with it. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but that’s the way the grain trade works. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We just sell pulses to whoever needs them and try to keep things fair. It’s a long day, but it feels good to be part of the local food supply in this city.
