Shree Ram Flowers & Decorators

Shree Ram Flowers & Decorators is located over at Hawa Sarak 23. It’s not a very big place, but we keep it full of whatever flowers are in season. Usually, my day starts at four in the morning when the trucks come in with the fresh stuff. If the weather is bad or the transport is late, it ruins the whole schedule, which happens more often than I’d like. We do a lot of work for weddings and small parties nearby. It’s messy work, honestly. There are stems and leaves all over the floor by midday, and your hands end up smelling like marigolds and wet roses for days. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. It’s just a workspace where we tie garlands and figure out how to make the stage look decent for someone’s function. Sometimes people come in at the last minute wanting something specific, and we have to scramble to find the right colors. It’s a lot of running around. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and most people around Hawa Sarak know where to find us. We just focus on getting the flowers ready and out the door before they start wilting in the heat. There isn't any big philosophy behind it; we just sell flowers and try to make sure the decorations don't fall down during the event. It’s hard work on your feet all day long, but we just get on with it every morning.
