Sharma Anaj Bhandar

Sharma Anaj Bhandar is located in Roshan Market, which is part of the Chitrakoot area near Gandhi Path. Vaishali Nagar is quite spread out, but this market is a good central spot for people to pick up their grains and supplies. We deal mostly with larger quantities of things like flour and rice. The shop smells like grain and jute bags most of the time. It’s a heavy job, moving those big sacks around, so we’re usually a bit tired by the end of the day. The floors are often covered in a bit of dust from the grains, no matter how much we sweep. That’s just how an anaj bhandar is. We don’t have a lot of space for customers to stand around, so they usually just wait by the front counter while we get their order ready. Roshan Market is a busy place, especially on the weekends. We’ve been here in Jaipur for a long time, watching the city grow around us. We don’t bother with much decoration. The shop is for work, and that’s what we do. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our spot here in Chitrakoot where we’ve always been. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of the local market community. Most of the people around here know us by name, which makes the long hours feel a bit shorter.
