Our office for Schenker India Pvt Ltd is located on the 3rd floor of Luhadia Tower, which is at K-11, Ashok Mg in C Scheme. C Scheme is a pretty central part of Jaipur, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We have a simple setup in room 307. It’s a typical office environment where we spend most of our hours looking at logistics and tracking shipments. It’s a lot of data and phone calls. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some maps and maybe a calendar that’s a month behind. The elevators in the tower can be slow, so we usually end up taking the stairs if we’re in a hurry. Being on Ashok Mg means we are close to a lot of other businesses, which is convenient. We are a private limited company, but the vibe in the office is just a few colleagues working together. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just handle the freight and the paperwork that comes with it. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about the cricket score, and other days we barely have time to eat lunch. It’s just the reality of the job. We’ve been in this building for some time and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the street below. It’s a good enough place to work from.
