Sampurti Food Enterprises

We’ve been here at Plot 129 in Saraswati Nagar for a while now. Being so close to the North Western Railway Headquarters means there is always a lot of movement outside our doors. It’s a busy part of Chainpura and we just try to keep up with everything. Most mornings start pretty early when the first stock arrives. The staff comes in, some on cycles and others walking from nearby, and we get the kitchen going. It gets quite warm back there once the stoves are lit. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us handling the food items and making sure the crates are ready for whoever is picking them up. Sometimes the delivery guys are late because of the traffic near the railway crossing, which can be a bit of a headache. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the bags are sealed right. There’s always some noise from the trains or the street, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We usually take our tea breaks together sitting on the plastic chairs near the entrance. It is just a regular place where we work hard and try to get things done before the sun goes down. Nothing too complicated about how we run things here. We just focus on the daily tasks and head home to our families when the shutters finally go down at night.
