RK Tent House

We have been at Thadi Market for a while now. Most people around Mansarovar know where our shop is at number 16. It is usually busy here with the market traffic. RK Tent House is what we call our small business. We deal with chairs, tables, and the big tents you see at weddings or small parties. It is hard work, especially when the weather is hot or if it starts raining suddenly. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading the trucks. My brother helps out with the bookings and I handle the workers. Sometimes things get a bit messy with all the pipes and cloth everywhere, but we try to keep it organized enough to find what we need. People come in asking for different colors or styles. We just tell them what we have in stock at the moment. If it is a big event, we stay up late to make sure everything stands up straight. It is just a normal local shop. Nothing fancy here. We keep our gear stored in the back and move things around as orders come in. Some days are quiet, others we do not even have time to sit for tea. Living and working in this part of Jaipur means you see the same faces every day. We just keep doing our thing here at number 16. It is a lot of lifting and moving stuff, but that is how it goes for a tent house. We do not have a computer for the accounts, we just use a thick register. It works fine for us.
