Ravi Tent House

You can find Ravi Tent House over in Malviya Nagar at 1/406 on the main road. Our yard is usually full of iron poles, heavy folded canvases, and stacks of chairs. Most of our work happens outside the office, at wedding grounds or community centers where we have to set everything up. It is heavy work and involves a lot of lifting and climbing. We spend our days checking the weather and making sure all the fabric is clean and doesn't have any holes. When there is a big event, our crew is up before dawn loading the trucks and heading out. The main road in Malviya Nagar is always packed, so just getting the truck out of the gate can be a bit of a chore some days. We’ve been providing tents for a long time now, so we’ve seen all kinds of parties and gatherings. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. People usually just come by the office to look at photos of previous setups and pick out what colors they want. It’s a hands-on business and we get pretty worn out during the peak wedding months. But it’s good to see a bare plot of land turn into a decorated space for a family function. We just keep doing our bit, one pole and one curtain at a time. It’s a lot of work to keep track of all the inventory but we manage to keep things organized.
