Prabhat Caterers

Prabhat Caterers is tucked away in Rail Vihar, specifically at 6/G-C. If you know Vidhyadhar Nagar, you know it’s a bit more organized than the old city, but it still gets busy. We spend most of our mornings checking the inventory and making sure the stoves are working right. It started as a small thing and just grew because people in the neighborhood kept asking us to help with their events. Our space here isn’t meant for showing off, it’s a working space where the magic—or the hard work, really—happens. We have a few guys who have been with us for years, and they know exactly how I like things done. We don't use fancy terms for what we do. It's about cooking food in large quantities and making sure it gets to the venue without spilling. Rail Vihar is a nice place to be based, even if the narrow turns can be a bit of a pain for the bigger delivery vans. Sometimes we stay up late into the night just to prep the basic ingredients so everything is ready for the early morning shift. It’s not always easy and there are days when things go wrong, like a burner acting up or a supplier being late with the vegetables. But that’s just how this business is. We stay here at 6/G-C and handle whatever comes our way day by day. We just try to keep things moving.
