Shakun Food Caterers & New Shiv Tent House

Out in Jhotwara, we run Shakun Food Caterers and New Shiv Tent House. It’s a bit of a double job, handling both the food and the physical setup for all kinds of local events. Our storage space is usually full of folded tents, stacks of metal chairs, and big cooking pots that have seen a lot of use over the years. When wedding season hits, things get really chaotic for us. We’re up late loading trucks and very early in the morning setting up at some local ground or someone’s backyard. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the fabric of the tents is clean and the poles are hammered in deep. On the catering side, we spend a lot of time over big burners, stirring large vats of vegetables or making sure the dal is cooked just right. We don’t do that fancy fusion food; we stick to the traditional dishes that people actually like to eat at their family parties. Jhotwara is a busy place, and we’ve done events in almost every corner of it by now. Sometimes the weather doesn't play nice and we have to scramble to keep the guests dry, but that’s just part of the risk in this line of work. We’re just a local crew working hard to make sure people's functions go okay without any big disasters. It’s not a glamorous life, with all the grease and the heavy canvas, but it’s what we know how to do. We just focus on getting things done for the customers.
