Padma Caterers

You can find us at 3-Ja-8, Jawahar Nagar. This is a residential part of the city, so it is usually a bit quieter than the main markets. Padma Caterers has been operating out of this house for a long time. We use the ground floor mostly for our work. It is a small family-run operation. We do not have a big office with desks; instead, we have a large kitchen area and space to store our big cooking vessels. During the festival seasons, we are basically working around the clock. My family helps out with the preparations. We go to the market early to pick out vegetables and spices. We don't really follow a corporate structure. If someone needs help, they just jump in. Jawahar Nagar is a nice place to be based because we know all our neighbors. They often come to us when they have a small puja or a family gathering at home. We just talk through what they want and write it down in a notebook. We don't use fancy software for our orders. Sometimes we get a bit tired during the peak months, but we like the work. It is satisfying to see the food being prepared from scratch. We focus on the basics and making sure everything is cooked thoroughly. It is a simple life and a simple business, just how we like it.
