New Azad Tent House

We have been operating New Azad Tent House out of Ghat Gate for quite some time now. Our spot is right at Nabha Ka Chauraha, number 124. Most days it’s just us moving heavy poles and folding up big sheets of fabric after someone’s party finishes. We started this because the neighborhood needed someone nearby who wouldn't mind the heavy lifting. It gets dusty and hot here, especially in the summer months, but that is just part of the job. We keep our inventory in the back and usually, someone is around to answer questions if you walk in. We don't have a big fancy office, just a desk and a few chairs where we sit and talk about what needs to be done. Sometimes the traffic at the crossroads makes it hard to load the trucks, but we manage. People know us around here because we’ve been at this corner long enough to see the city change. We handle the local weddings and small gatherings that happen in the nearby lanes. It is a lot of physical work, especially when the winds pick up and we have to make sure everything stays tied down properly. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork, we're usually out on the site or checking the state of our tents. It’s a simple life running a business in this part of Jaipur.
