Finding us at Samrats Lifestyle is an adventure if you aren't familiar with Nawab Ka Choraha. We are situated right along Takhur Gijhgadh Ka Rasta, not too far from Ghate Gate. It is a very lively part of town, maybe a bit too lively on Friday afternoons when everyone is out and about. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of things we think people might want to buy. We don't really have a specific theme; it’s more of a collection of lifestyle items that we’ve picked up over the months. The shelves are a bit crowded, and sometimes you have to move a box just to see what’s behind it. We tried organizing it by color once, but that lasted about two days before everything got mixed up again. There’s a ceiling fan that makes a clicking noise on the high setting, so we usually keep it on medium. The floor is concrete and stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. We spend a lot of time talking to the other shopkeepers on the Rasta, mostly about the weather or how the traffic is getting worse. We aren't a big corporation with fancy meetings. Most of our decisions are made over a cup of tea in the back room. We just want to keep the doors open and provide things that are useful to the folks living around Ghate Gate. It’s nothing more than that.
