Sushil Bags

We are located near the Bank of Baroda in Khatipura, which makes it pretty easy for people to find Sushil Bags. Being near a bank is good because there are always people around. I started working here a while back. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into it. We have a lot of those sturdy backpacks that students like, and also some nicer looking purses for ladies. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we have to be careful that the colors on the display bags don't fade too much. I usually hang a cloth over the front when it gets too bright. It’s a quiet neighborhood compared to the main city markets, but we still get a good mix of people. Sometimes someone comes in just to ask for directions or to break a big note from the bank. I don't mind. It makes the day go by faster. I usually keep a small radio playing in the corner to have some background noise. The shelves are a bit dusty, no matter how much I clean them, but that's just how it is with the road right there. We just try to be helpful and give people a fair deal on whatever they are looking for. It’s a decent way to earn a living.
