Sagar Bags

If you walk down Topkhana Ka Rasta toward the Sita Mata Ka Mandir in Chandpole Bazar, you will find us at Sagar Bags. The shop is right near the temple, so we hear the bells ringing all day long. It is a very old part of town. The building we are in has these high ceilings and thick walls that keep it a bit cooler, which is nice. We have bags piled up everywhere you look. Some are for school kids, some are for office workers, and we have those big duffel bags too. I spend a lot of my time just moving things around to find what a customer is asking for. It’s not always organized the way it should be, but I know where most things are. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people walking. Sometimes it’s hard for the delivery trucks to even get close to the shop. We have to carry the bundles of new bags by hand from the main road. My back feels it by the end of the week. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. I usually have my lunch sitting on a plastic crate in the back of the shop. It is a simple routine. We don't do anything special, just show up and sell bags to whoever needs one. That is pretty much it for Sagar Bags.
