Shine Bags

Finding us for the first time might take you a minute because the lanes around Chandpole Bazar can be a real maze. Shine Bags is tucked away in Radha Kishan Kiyast Ki Gali, which is one of those narrow spots off Kalyan Ji Ka Rashta. It is a very old part of Jaipur, and you can feel that history in the walls. Our space is filled to the ceiling with all kinds of bags. Sometimes there is barely enough room to walk between the stacks. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and moving things around so people can see what we have. It’s not a big showroom with air conditioning; it’s a traditional shop in a busy market. You’ll hear the sounds of the street, the vendors shouting, and the bikes squeezing past the door. Being near Devi Bhawan and the Mori area means there is always someone passing by. We have been here in this spot for quite some time now. Most of our day is spent talking to folks who have been shopping in the bazaar for hours. We know these streets like the back of our hand, even if the address sounds a bit long when you write it out. It’s a simple life selling bags in a place that hasn’t changed much in years. We just keep our heads down and do the work every single day without making any fuss.
