Navratan Tent House

Navratan Tent House is situated right at Imliwala Phatak, specifically near Imli Phatak 18. If you have ever been stuck at the railway crossing there, you probably know exactly where we are. The sound of the trains is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We have a lot of stuff stored here, from the big colorful tents to the small chairs people use for house parties. Moving all that gear through the narrow lanes around the phatak is a real challenge sometimes. We usually start the day very early before the traffic gets bad. My hands are usually calloused from handling the ropes and the metal pipes every day. We don't have a big team, just a few local guys who know how to set things up fast. The area stays dusty because of all the vehicles passing through to get across the tracks. We keep the tents folded up tight to keep them clean. It’s a lot of sweat and hard work, especially during the peak season when everyone seems to have a function at the same time. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on being right here where people can see us. It’s a busy spot and there is always something going on. We just take it one day at a time here.
