Nanak Dev Tent House

Nanak Dev Tent House is tucked away in the Swami Servanand Market over in Jawahar Nagar. You can find us near the Sindhi Barf Khana. It’s a loud area with lots of people moving around. Our space is filled with stacks of folded tents, metal poles, and piles of chairs. Everything gets a bit dusty because of the market traffic. We spend our mornings loading up the rickshaws or small trucks with heavy fabrics. It’s a lot of lifting and pulling. When there’s a local function, we are usually the ones dragging the carpet out. The weather is always a factor for us. If it rains, we have to move fast to save the cloth. If it’s too hot, the work just feels slower. Jawahar Nagar is a tight community so we see the same faces every day. We don't have a glossy showroom or anything. It’s just a practical workspace where we manage the rentals. Some of the poles are scratched and the chairs need wiping down before they go out. That is just how the tent business works here. We’ve been at this spot in Swami Servanand Market for quite a while now. Dealing with local events keeps us on our feet. Sometimes things get mixed up in the warehouse but we find what’s needed eventually.
