Mridul Caterers

We have been here on Khatipura Road for quite a while now, right near the government poultry farm. Our shop is number 12. Most days start early for us because there is a lot of chopping and prep work to get through before any event starts. People around here know where to find us. Handling a lot of local gatherings is our main work. Sometimes it gets really hectic in the kitchen, especially during the wedding season when everyone wants things done at once. Being a family thing mostly, we just focus on getting the cooking right and making sure there is enough for everyone. The poultry farm nearby is a good landmark if you are trying to find the place for the first time. Having a fancy office is not for us; it is just the shop and the cooking area. A lot of time was spent learning how to balance spices so the food tastes like what you would get at home. Some days the heat in the kitchen is a bit much but we are used to it by now. Talking to people directly about what they need for their parties is how we usually do things. There is no complicated process. You just come in, tell us how many people are coming, and we figure it out. Keeping supplies organized in the back takes effort. It is a lot of work but seeing the empty plates at the end of a party makes it feel okay. We just keep our heads down and do the work at Shop No-12, Nr Govt Poultry Farm, Khatipura Road.
