Raja Bag Company

We have been operating Raja Bag Company at 12 Jayanti Market on M. I. Road for a long time now. The market is always a bit noisy, especially early in the morning when all the shopkeepers are pulling up their shutters. Our shop is not very large, so things tend to get a bit crowded when we have a lot of material coming in. We spend most of the day surrounded by zippers, different kinds of cloth, and heavy-duty thread. It can get quite hot in the middle of the day, and the old ceiling fans we have don't always do the best job of keeping us cool. We usually sit on small stools and work on the bags until the sun starts to go down. The floor is almost always covered in little scraps of fabric and bits of string that we have to sweep up every evening. We know all the other people working on this floor of the market, and we often share a pot of tea when things get a bit quiet in the afternoon. It is a very practical place. We do not have any fancy decorations or soft chairs for visitors. There are just stacks of bags and rolls of material everywhere you look. Sometimes the traffic outside on M. I. Road gets so loud you have to shout to be heard, but we are used to it by now. It is just where we work every day.
