Laxmi Trading Co

Tripoliya Bazar is a crowded place, and Laxmi Trading Co is right there on Stadium Road, at 273-B. If you know the area, you know how noisy it gets with all the traffic and the shoppers. We have been here for a while, dealing with all sorts of goods that come in and go out every day. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things high up to the ceiling. Sometimes it is a bit of a struggle to find a specific item when a customer is waiting, but we usually remember where we put things. It is mostly me and a couple of others helping out. We open early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking the ledgers. The floor is old stone and it gets cold in the winter. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just sell what people need and try to be fair about it. On some days, the bazaar is so packed that even getting a small rickshaw to the door is impossible. We just have to carry the heavy boxes by hand. It keeps us fit, I guess. We take our lunch breaks in the back room and then get back to it. That's just how the day goes at our spot on Stadium Road.
