Laxmi Food Products

Our place is right across from the Parsvanath Temple. It’s a nice spot because we can hear the bells in the morning and evening. It’s usually pretty busy around here with people coming and going from the temple, so there’s always something to look at out the window. We work mostly with food items, so we have to keep the place very clean. We spend a lot of time sweeping and wiping down the counters. The smell inside is usually a mix of whatever we are packing that day. It’s a small operation, just a few of us doing the weighing and sealing. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just our name on the door. People often stop by to ask for directions since the temple is such a well-known landmark. We don't mind. It gives us a chance to take a short break from the packing machines. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit outside on the steps and talk. We’ve been at this location for a long time. The building is old and has some cracks in the walls, but it’s sturdy enough for what we do. We just focus on getting the bags filled and the boxes taped up before the courier comes by in the afternoon. We have to keep the door closed to keep out the stray cats.
