At Bapu Nagar on Peeyush Marg C 35, you’ll find Lavanya Events Entertainment. It’s a pretty quiet street, which is nice when we’re trying to focus on our planning. The office is inside a regular building, and we’ve set it up with just the basics. We have some samples of invitations and some photos of past setups on the walls. Most of the day is spent on the phone, as you might expect. We talk to vendors, venue managers, and families all day long. The desks are always covered in notebooks because we prefer writing things down by hand. It’s easier to keep track of changes that way. We don't have a huge team, so everyone does a bit of everything. Sometimes we’re the ones moving the chairs around or checking the lights. It’s a lot of manual work behind the scenes. We like being in Bapu Nagar because it’s central but not too crazy like the main markets. The tea stall nearby is where we get our morning boost. We don't have a big mission statement or anything; we just take the work as it comes and try to keep things organized. If a client comes in, we just sit on the sofa and go through their ideas. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we’re always working on something. The floor gets a bit dusty from all the foot traffic, but that’s just how it is.
