Kobid Enterprises

Kobid Enterprises is located in Sita Bari, right near the airport on Tonk Road. You can hear the planes taking off all day, which you eventually get used to after a few weeks. We have been operating from this spot for a while now. The building is simple, and we share the area with a few other local shops. Our day usually starts around nine when we roll up the shutters and start checking what orders came in. We deal with various goods and supplies, mostly things that local businesses need to keep their own operations running smoothly. It is not a huge operation, just a handful of us making sure everything gets packed and sent out on time. The dust from the road can be a bit much in the summer, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the counters. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People mostly find us through word of mouth or by seeing our sign when they are stuck in traffic on Tonk Road. Sometimes the deliveries are delayed because of the airport security checks or the heavy trucks moving through, but we just deal with it as it comes. We have a small kettle in the back for making tea, which is pretty much the highlight of our afternoons. It is steady work, and we like being part of this neighborhood where everyone knows each other’s names. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done.
