Kishan Tent House

Kishan Tent House is situated out in Kotputli Bazar near the Pawta bus stand, right by National Highway 8. Being so close to the highway means it’s always dusty and noisy, but it’s a good spot for people to find us. We deal with all the stuff you need for a function—poles, big colorful cloths, chairs, and all that. It’s heavy work, mostly loading and unloading the trucks. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Everything is stored in the back area where it’s a bit of a maze of iron pipes and folded tents. When there’s a wedding season, we hardly sleep because everything has to be set up on time. We don’t really have a formal way of doing things; we just get the crew together and head out to the site. Sometimes a pipe gets bent or a cloth gets a tear, and we have to fix it ourselves with whatever tools we have. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but we get the job done. We’ve been here at the bus stand for a long time, so most of the local decorators know who we are. We don't do any big promotions or anything. People just come by when they have an event coming up. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do, and we just keep at it every day. Even when it’s boiling hot outside, the work doesn’t stop. We mostly just focus on getting the tents up.
