Khandelwal Dyeing & Tent Manufacturers

We are Khandelwal Dyeing & Tent Manufacturers over on Station Road at Shop No 9. This place is always full of color because of the dyeing work we do. My hands are usually stained with some shade of blue or red by the end of the day. It doesn't really wash off easily. We make tents too, which is a big job. We cut the fabric and sew it ourselves right here. Station Road is always crowded with people going to the train station, so there is constant noise. The shop is quite narrow but it goes back a long way. We have big vats for the dye and large tables for cutting the cloth. Sometimes the smell of the dye is very strong but we are used to it now. People bring us fabrics that need a new color or they want a specific type of tent for a garden or an event. We don't use fancy machines for everything. A lot of it is done by hand because that is how we learned it. My grandfather started this business a long time ago. We just kept it going. Shop No 9 is easy to find if you are walking down from the main junction. We have rolls of cloth stacked up in every corner. It is a bit of a mess sometimes but we get the work done. Khandelwal Dyeing is just a small local spot.
