Khan Tent Hosue

If you go down to Gari Mohalla in Balghat, you will find where we keep all our supplies for Khan Tent House. We handle stuff all the way to Toda Bhim and around the Jaipur G P O area too. It’s a lot of traveling back and forth. The trucks are always moving. We have these big stacks of chairs that need cleaning after every event, and that takes up most of our morning. My father started this years ago, and now we just keep it going. The mohalla is quite tight, so moving the big equipment in and out can be a bit of a headache with the narrow lanes. We don't have a big office or anything like that. It’s just us working in the yard, checking the ropes and making sure the tents don't have any holes. Sometimes we have to stay up all night at a site just to make sure everything stays up if the wind gets too strong. We deal with all sorts of people, from big families to small local groups. It isn't a glamorous job. You get dirt on your clothes and your hands get rough from the ropes. But it’s what we know how to do. Balghat is home, and we’ve set up our tents in almost every corner of this district at one point or another. It’s just how we live. The work is hard but it is steady for our family.
