Jai Durga Trading

Our shop, Jai Durga Trading, is at Shop No. 47 in Chandpol Bazar. If you’ve ever walked through the old city of Jaipur, you know how it feels—the pink walls, the narrow sidewalks, and the constant flow of people. We’ve been part of this market for a while. Our shop is a bit old-fashioned, with wooden shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We trade in various goods, and the inventory changes depending on what’s available and what people are asking for. It’s a busy spot, and we often have people stopping by just to ask for directions or to chat. We open up early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Most of the day is spent unloading crates or organizing the items so customers can see them. It's not a high-tech place; we still use a basic calculator and keep our notes in a diary. The architecture of the bazaar means the shop stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. We deal with all sorts of people, from local residents to traders from other parts of the state. It’s a simple life, being a trader in a historic market. We don't make any big claims; we just open the shutters every day and do our best to keep the shop running smoothly for everyone.
