Goyal Tent House

Being located right near Brahmpuri and Choti Chaupar puts Goyal Tent House in the middle of all the action. Tripolia Bazar is a hectic place to run any business, but we have made it work for a long time. We spend a lot of our time loading up heavy bamboo poles and huge rolls of colorful fabric onto the back of pickup trucks. During the wedding season, nobody in the shop gets much sleep. We are out at all hours, setting up stages and fixing curtains for families. The shop itself is mostly just a place to store all the heavy equipment. It always smells like old cloth and jute ropes in here. We have some plastic chairs out front where we sit and wait for customers to stop by. Most of the people who come to us are neighbors or people who heard about us from a family member. We don't use fancy computers for our bookings; we just write everything down in a big register with a red cover. Sometimes the traffic in the old city makes it very hard to get the trucks out on time, so we often have to leave much earlier than expected. It is a messy, physical job, and our hands are always rough from pulling on ropes all day. But it is what the family has done for a long time. We just provide the stuff people need and try to keep it all clean.
