Gangamani Fashions Art & Crafts

Our workshop, Gangamani Fashions Art & Crafts, is over at B-4 Rela Chambers in Raghunath Colony. We’re pretty close to the Galta Gate Police Station, so it’s easy to find if you’re in the neighborhood. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the main markets, which we actually prefer for getting our work done. We handle a lot of different things here, from basic fashion items to more crafty pieces. The space is filled with threads, beads, and rolls of cotton. It’s not some fancy studio you’d see in a magazine. It’s a real working environment where we’re often covered in lint and dust by midday. My cousins and a few friends help me run things. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something needs doing, whoever is free just does it. We’ve had some of the same sewing machines since we started, and they’ve served us well. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out, and we just order some food and keep going. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we make mistakes, but we always try to fix them. People in Raghunath Colony know us as the place that’s always busy. We don't need a lot of words to describe what we do. We just work with our hands and try to make things that look decent and last.
