Ganesham Flower Decorators

Ganesham Flower Decorators is located on M I Road, right near Paanch Batti in the Narshing Mandi area. It’s a busy part of town, always lots of people walking by. We spend a lot of our time dealing with fresh flowers, so the smell in the shop is always a bit strong. Every morning, we get new shipments in and have to sort through the stems. It’s a lot of cutting and cleaning up leaves from the floor. We do setups for all sorts of things, mostly local events or temple decorations around Narshing Mandi. The traffic on M I Road can be a real pain when we are trying to deliver arrangements quickly. It is not a very big shop, but we make do with the space we have. There are buckets everywhere filled with roses, marigolds, and whatever else is in season. Sometimes the flowers don't last as long as we want because of the heat, so we are always moving things into the shade. We aren't trying to be fancy decorators; we just provide what people ask for when they have a ceremony or a celebration. A few of us work here together, usually staying late to finish up garlands for the next day. It is messy work with all the water and thorns, but it’s what we do. People stop in while they are out shopping nearby or visiting the local market.
