Food Zone

We’ve been here at Raja Park B-23 for some time now. Food Zone is just what the sign says above the door. Most days start the same way with the sound of the traffic outside on the main road. It gets pretty loud around noon when everyone is out and about. Our shop isn't very large, just enough room for us to move around and for a couple of people to stand at the counter. The paint on the walls is a bit faded in the corners but that doesn't bother anyone much. We spend most of the morning just getting things ready. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit and we have to wait. It’s just the way things go in this neighborhood. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure everything is where it should be. The floor gets dusty pretty fast with people coming in and out from the street, so we’re always sweeping. It feels like a small part of a much bigger place here in Raja Park. You see the same faces walking their dogs or going to work every morning. We don’t talk a lot, just enough to get the job done. It’s a simple life at B-23. The sun hits the front glass pretty hard in the afternoon so we usually pull the shade down halfway. It stays cooler that way inside. We just stay here until it’s time to close up.
