Dusad Tent House

People usually find us over at A 178 on the 80 Feet Road in Mahesh Nagar. It is a busy stretch and there is always something going on outside our doors. We spend a lot of our time organizing the heavy iron poles and folding up those large pieces of cloth that make up the tents. It’s not a glamorous job at all. Most mornings start early when the sun isn't too high yet, because lifting all that equipment gets really exhausting once the heat kicks in. We have a lot of stuff crammed into our storage space here. Sometimes it feels like we are constantly counting chairs and checking if the decorative fabrics are clean enough for the next setup. People from the neighborhood drop by to talk about their upcoming family events or just to see what we have available for rent. We aren't a big flashy office or anything like that. It’s just a practical workplace where we get things ready for weddings or local gatherings. The floor is usually a bit dusty from all the moving around. We try to keep things organized but when three trucks need to be loaded at once, it gets a bit chaotic. Living and working in Mahesh Nagar means we know the local streets pretty well by now. We just focus on getting the gear where it needs to go and making sure the tents stay standing. It is hard work, but it is what we do every day here.
