Dama Tent House

Dama Tent House is tucked away in the Rajni Pura area of Malviya Nagar, at number 7. We have been working out of this spot for quite a while now. Our daily routine involves a lot of lifting and moving of heavy gear. We have these big bundles of colorful cloth and metal frames that we use to set up for local functions. It’s not a glamorous job at all. You get dusty and your hands get rough from the ropes and the iron pipes. We have stacks of those red plastic chairs that you see at every party in the city. During the busy months, the whole place is a hive of activity with workers coming and going at all hours. We have to make sure every pipe and joint is solid so nothing falls over during an event. In Rajni Pura, it’s mostly residential, so we do a lot of small home functions like birthdays or small prayers. We don't have a big corporate setup here. It’s just a warehouse and a small space to talk to people who come by to book. We keep a logbook of all the dates and try to make sure the truck is ready to go on time. Sometimes the weather doesn't help, especially when it rains and everything gets soaked. Then we have to dry out the tents before we can store them back. It’s just how it goes in this line of work.
