We are over on Muhana Road in Jaipur, specifically at Plot Number 18. It is right opposite VT Road, so it is a landmark most locals know. Being a media group, the building is always a bit of a hive of activity. There is the smell of paper and ink everywhere, which you get used to after your first week. We have reporters coming in with stories and the printing side of things keeps everything moving at a fast pace. It is a large place, but it does not feel very corporate. It is more like a busy workshop where everyone is trying to meet a deadline. The Rajasthan sun can make the plot quite hot in the afternoons, but we have enough fans and coolers to keep us going. We have stacks of newspapers in the corners and the desks are usually covered in notes and old coffee cups. It is a grounded environment. We do not spend much time worrying about the furniture or how the paint looks on the walls. We just care about getting the news out and making sure the day's work is finished. The traffic on Muhana Road is always moving, and there are always people coming and going from the gates. It is just the way a media house in a city like Jaipur operates day in and day out.
