Bhagchand Tent House

Located near Tonk Road in Gopal Colony. We started Bhagchand Tent House a long time ago. Most days involve loading up the trucks early. Tonk Road gets very busy by ten in the morning, especially around Sangane. We handle a lot of poles and heavy fabrics. It is hard work when the sun is out. My cousin helps with the bookings and I manage the boys who do the lifting. We don't have a fancy office, just the space here in Gopal Colony where we keep all the stock. Sometimes the rains make things difficult because the fabric gets heavy when wet. People around here know us by name. We just focus on getting the tents up before the guests arrive. It’s a lot of physical labor, checking the ropes and making sure the iron frames are steady. We've seen this area change quite a bit over the years. New buildings coming up and more traffic than before. We keep our gear clean but it’s a constant battle with the dust on the road. Most of our work comes from families living nearby who need stuff for small functions or big weddings. We just stay busy and try to keep things organized in the warehouse. It's not a glamorous job but it pays the bills and keeps us active in the community. It takes a lot of patience to do this every day.
