Bal G Food Court

We’ve been here at A 1 Hawa Sarak for a while now. Being near Bais Godam means there is always traffic and people moving around outside. We just try to keep things running every day. It’s a food court, so it gets noisy when the lunch crowd hits. Sometimes the chairs are all full and folks have to wait, which can be a bit of a mess. It is not fancy here, just a place to get something to eat. We open up in the morning and start prepping everything. The smells from the different stalls start mixing together. Most people who stop by are working nearby or just passing through the area. We know a lot of the faces. It is just a normal spot in Jaipur. Sometimes the coolers need fixing or we run out of something, but that's how it goes when you're busy. My brother helps out with the accounts and I mostly stay out front. We keep the floor swept as much as we can. It's a lot of work running a place like this on Hawa Sarak. You see all sorts of people. Some are in a big hurry and others just want to sit for a bit away from the sun. We don’t have any big speeches. It is just us here at the food court. We try to keep the lights on and the food ready. That is pretty much it for us at Bal G.
