Babel Brothers

Our shop Babel Brothers is No. 29 in the Krishi Upaj Mandi. Being in a market yard means our day starts way before the sun comes up. It is just me and my siblings working together. We deal with the crops and produce that the farmers bring in every morning. It is a loud and hectic place, with people shouting prices and tractors moving everywhere. We have to be quick on our feet to keep track of everything going on. Our shop is mostly filled with big jute bags and scales. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers and the buyers who come through. Sometimes we sit on the bags and have our breakfast while the market is in full swing. It is a tough life because you are always on your feet and dealing with the dust and the heat. But we like the energy of the Mandi. We have known many of these farmers for years, and they know where to find us. We don't have any polished sales pitches or brochures. We just look at the goods and settle on a price that works for everyone. When the market closes in the afternoon, we spend time cleaning up and getting ready for the next day. It is the same routine day after day, but it is what we know. We are just simple people making a living in the heart of the local trade.
