Ankit Tent House

Our place, Ankit Tent House, is located in the Thadi Market area of Mansarovar, at 124/191. If you live in Mansarovar, you know how busy Thadi Market gets. We deal with everything related to tents and event setups. Most of our work happens outside of this building, at wedding grounds or in people's backyards. Our shop is mostly filled with rolled-up carpets, folded tents, and stacks of plastic chairs. It is not the most beautiful place to look at, but it is functional. We have a lot of heavy lifting to do every day. Loading and unloading the trucks takes a lot of energy, especially when it is hot outside. We have a small desk where we sit down with families to talk about their events. We show them photos of different setups we have done before, though the photos are just printed out in an old binder. We do not have a website or anything like that. People usually find us because their neighbor used us for a party or they saw our trucks around. We have been through a lot of rainy seasons where we had to rush to save the equipment. It is a lot of manual labor and late nights, especially during the wedding season when everyone wants to get married on the same weekend. We just try to get the tents up straight and the chairs clean.
