City Chef

City Chef is located in South Tukoganj, right near where Hans Travels is. Most people in Indore know this spot. It’s a bit of a hectic area with all the buses and people moving around, but we like the energy. We started this because we needed a way to make a living and we knew how to cook. The kitchen is small but it works for what we do every day. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls or expensive paintings. Mostly it is just some old pictures and the menu board we wrote ourselves. Sometimes the light in the back hallway flickers, but we'll get it fixed eventually when we have a spare moment. We open early to get all the prep work done. Cutting piles of onions and tomatoes takes up a lot of our morning time. We get our supplies from the local market nearby. It’s a lot of work running a food place, but seeing people finish their plates makes it worth it. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in town, just a reliable one for a meal. The floor gets a bit muddy when it rains outside, so we're always mopping it up. We have a few tables inside for people to sit. It’s a simple setup without any fuss. If you’re around South Tukoganj, you’ve probably walked past our door. We use the recipes we grew up with at home. It’s just us here every day.
