Right in Lakdi Ka Pool is where you’ll find our office, specifically over at 11-4-647 A.C. Guards. It is a busy part of Hyderabad, as most people know. You can hear the traffic and the horns from the street all day long. It gets pretty loud around five in the evening when everyone is heading home. The building itself is older, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time on the phones or talking to people who walk in. There’s a tea shop just down the road where we usually go for a break. The staff here has been around for some time. We aren’t a huge corporation with a glass building. It’s just a regular room with some maps on the wall and a few computers that hum. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to restart the router. We handle things as they come. It can get a bit cramped when more than three people show up at once, but we manage. The floor is tile and it’s easy to sweep. We try to keep the windows closed to keep the dust out, but it finds a way in anyway. It’s a practical place for what we do. No one wears a suit here, just regular clothes. It’s a local business through and through. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. We stay busy enough with the day to day tasks that keep us going.
