Vardhaman College Of Engineering is based in Kacharam, near Nanajpur. Most people just know it as the Shamshabad area because of the airport. It’s a pretty big campus spread out in the open. You can often see the planes taking off or landing in the distance. The walk from the main gate to some of the blocks can be a bit long, especially when the sun is out. It’s quite peaceful compared to the city noise. We’ve got a lot of trees planted around, which makes the walk a little better. The village of Kacharam is right there, so it has a very local, grounded feel. Our staff mostly travels in from different parts of Hyderabad. The canteen is the main hub during the breaks. You’ll find students sitting under the trees talking or checking their phones. The buildings are built for utility. There’s always some maintenance work going on somewhere, like a leaky pipe or a door that needs fixing. It’s just a regular part of running a big place like this. We don't have the flashy lights of the city, just the quiet of the outskirts. The labs have been there for years and have that specific smell of old equipment and dust. It's a practical environment. People come here to get their degrees and move on with their lives. It’s a decent place to work and study if you like being away from the traffic and the noise.
