Akshaya Restaurant

We are Akshaya Restaurant and our shop is at House No 3-6-525 on Street No 7 in Himayat Nagar. It’s a busy part of Hyderabad and finding a parking spot can be a real struggle sometimes. We are right across the street from the Minerva Coffee Shop, which everyone knows, so that helps people find us. Our restaurant is nothing fancy to look at from the outside or the inside. We have plain walls and sturdy tables because we focus more on what’s happening in the kitchen. We serve mostly local food that people in Hyderabad eat every day. Lunchtime is usually our busiest hour when all the office workers from Himayat Nagar come out looking for a meal. We don't have a big corporate structure or a manager in a suit. It’s just us and a few helpers in the back. Sometimes we run out of certain dishes if the day is busier than we expected. We don't try to sound like a big brand because we aren't one. We are just a local eatery that has been in this street for quite some time. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it’s what we do. We just want to serve a decent plate of food and get through the day's work. That's the reality of running a small place in a big city like this.
