About Twelfth Lock Hotel, Dublin, Ireland – Tourism in Hyderabad/ Secunderabad
It sounds a bit strange to have Twelfth Lock Hotel, Dublin, Ireland associated with Plot 156 on Road 4 in Telephone Colony, but that is where we are. This is Hyderabad-35, a long way from Ireland. We work out of this spot in the colony, which is mostly a quiet area with lots of families. There are a few trees outside the office that give some nice shade when the sun is beating down on the road. We spend our time managing things from here, even if the name on the door suggests somewhere much colder and greener. The office inside is pretty basic. We have some old desks and a few chairs that have seen better days. It is not some high-end hotel lobby, just a practical space where we handle the business side of things. Sometimes the neighbors come by to complain about where someone parked, or just to say hello. Telephone Colony has its own rhythm. We get our work done between tea breaks and phone calls. It’s a lot of staring at spreadsheets and answering emails. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is running like it should. It’s a bit of a funny situation being here in Hyderabad with that name, but we’ve made it our own. We just keep our heads down and work through the daily list of tasks without much fuss. The mail usually arrives late in the afternoon. It keeps us plenty busy.
