Our spot is right near Masab Tank, a place most people in Hyderabad know because of the flyover and the constant traffic. The hotel has been sitting here for a long time, and it’s become a bit of a landmark in the area. If you look out the windows, you see the cars moving towards Banjara Hills or Mehdipatnam all day long. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but there’s always something going on in the kitchen or the rooms. We have people coming in for lunch or staying over for work trips. The building has its own character, not like the new glass towers you see in Gachibowli. It feels a bit more solid and lived-in. We spend a lot of time making sure the lobby is clean and the guests find their way around the Masab Tank area without getting lost. Sometimes things break or the elevators need a look, and we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a busy life here because of where we are located. The staff knows the shortcuts around the back lanes to avoid the main road jams. We don’t really do big marketing talk. We’re just a hotel near a busy junction trying to keep things running smooth for whoever walks through the door. It gets hectic during wedding seasons or big events, but that’s just part of being in this industry in a city like Hyderabad.
