It’s a busy road with lots of trucks and cars going past all day long. Our work involves making fly ash bricks, which means we deal with a lot of raw material and machinery. The site is usually quite active with people moving bricks around and trucks coming in to load up. We chose this spot because the access to the main road is good for transport. It’s a dusty job, and we are usually covered in it by the end of the shift. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll likely find us out near the brick piles or checking on the machines. We focus on getting the bricks made and out the door to the construction sites around Bachupolly and beyond. It’s a simple business model without any unnecessary frills. We have been working here for some time now and have gotten used to the noise of the traffic on Bolaram Road. We just keep our heads down and make sure the production stays on track. It is hard work, but it keeps us going. We’re just regular people trying to run a decent local business and provide for our families through this work.
