Sln Bricks

If you head down Kuntloor Road near Pedda Amberpet, you will find Sln Bricks at Survey No. 30. It is an open space where we spend most of our time outdoors. The ground is mostly red earth and piles of finished bricks waiting to be loaded. It is hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on the site. We have a small crew that stays on-site or nearby. There is a lot of dust, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We follow the rhythm of the seasons here. When it rains heavily, things slow down because the mud makes everything difficult. We have some basic structures for shade and storing tools. The road is right there, so we see all the traffic going toward Kuntloor. It’s not a fancy office job by any means. We are constantly moving things around and checking the quality of the batches. The noise of the trucks is something you just get used to. We don't have a website or a marketing team. Most of our customers are builders or local people who just drive up and ask what we have available. It’s a very physical business and we just focus on making sure the bricks are solid. Every day is pretty much the same, starting at dawn and finishing when the light starts to fade. The rain sometimes ruins a whole batch, so we are always watching the clouds. It's a hard way to make a living.
