Sri Padmavati Jewellers

Sri Padmavati Jewellers is located at 5-9-43/5&6 in the Basheerbagh area. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time now. The shop is on a busy corner, and you can always see the traffic moving outside. We mostly deal with traditional gold jewelry that people buy for weddings and family functions. It’s a family business, so you’ll usually find one of us behind the counter every day. We don’t have any of those modern, fancy layouts. We have heavy wooden counters and chairs where customers can sit and take their time. We spend our mornings getting the stock out of the safe and setting everything up. Basheerbagh is a hectic place, but we try to keep the shop feeling calm. We don’t do any big promotions or ads in the newspapers. People come to us because they’ve known us for years. We often end up just chatting with regulars about their families while they look at necklaces or bangles. The building is an older style, so it has its quirks, like the occasional leak when it rains really hard. We just put a bucket out and keep going. It’s a very straightforward way of running a business. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us working together and trying to do a decent job for the people who walk through our door.
