Sri Chandrika Caterers

We are based in Kachiguda, not too far from the Karnataka Sahitya Mandir. The address is 3-4-168, which is a bit of an old building. Sri Chandrika Caterers has been around for a while now. We mostly handle small family gatherings and local events. I started this because I liked cooking for my relatives. Now it’s a full-time job with a small team. We have a few big aluminum pots that have seen better days but they still cook the rice perfectly. We don't do the big fancy weddings with thousands of people. We prefer the smaller groups where we can actually manage the quality of the curry. Sometimes we get orders at the last minute and it’s a scramble to get everything ready. The traffic in Kachiguda can be a nightmare when we are trying to deliver the food on time. We’ve had a few instances where we had to take a rickshaw because the van was stuck. It's just the way things go here. We don't use any fancy machines, just hand-chopping and slow cooking. My sister helps with the packing and the phone calls. It’s a family-run thing and we just try to make sure the food tastes like it was made at home. Nothing more to it than that. We just do our best with every order that comes through our door.
