Saudi Air Line

Saudi Air Line has its presence here in Dammam, and this is where we handle the day-to-day business of flying people back and forth. Dammam is a major hub, and the work here is constant because of all the travel going on in the region. We aren't in a shiny new skyscraper; our workspace is about the practical side of the airline industry. We deal with tickets, flight schedules, and all the little problems that passengers run into when they are traveling. The weather here can be incredibly hot, and that sometimes makes everything feel a bit more tiring, but the work has to get done regardless. We don't spend our time writing fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just focus on the computers and the people standing in line. It’s a lot of repetitive tasks, checking passports and making sure luggage is accounted for. The office can get quite loud when things are busy, with phones ringing and people talking in different languages. We’re just a regular group of employees trying to make sure the flights leave on time and that everyone knows where they are supposed to go. It’s a high-pressure environment sometimes, especially when there are delays, but we just take it one passenger at a time. We’ve been operating in Dammam for a long while and it’s become a second home for most of us working here. It is just a job that we try to do right.
